ummmmm… it looks like a very close shot of a piece of stone that's been exposed to… sea air? or salt water? how it was taken is a mystery to me as i don't know much about photography, but it looks like it was taken with some sort of light filter that enhances the existing variations in color.

(even if i'm dead wrong, it was fun to try and figure it out!)
